Time:11:20 pm.
Mood: proud.
Music:Beloved Tragedy- Three Days of Rain.
Okay, I know I did this before, but check out Beloved Tragedy, we just got our first full song up, it's called "Three Days of Rain". I must say, I've heard good responses from people, even though it's a realllly rough copy. Like, the sequencing timing is off a little bit, and it was all recorded with a $8 radioshack mic. Nevertheless, LISTEN! and tell me/us what you think. Hopefully christmas break me and CJ will get to record everything in higher quality. Now back to Gabriel Business.

So, we haven't practiced in a long time. Daves got school band, James has swim, I've got work, Elliott has wrestling, so it's crazy. But, I do think that after the whole christmas hiatus is over, we (as in me and james) are going to sit down and rock the fuck out of the songs we've been planning to do, and then we'll work our way from there. Who knows, really. I want to just get 3 songs done to put out a demo. So I think that's everything.

Yours,
Andy

P.S. Listen to the friggin' song! :-)

Mood: cheerful.
Music:Christians + Lions- Firebelly Salamander.
Beloved Tragedy (my side project band/thing that I do with CJ) has some sequence mixes up, and I'm waiting for CJ to send up a song that he recorded back at home to put up. It's pretty cool, so it would be awesome to support it. I'm also selling my red Epiphone LP, for $400. I am looking at a new guitar I reallly want, so help me and buy it, or mention it to a friend looking for a good guitar.
In other news, the acoustic show/thing/jamboree at the chruch off old post road went well. James and I rocked out some jam song, and then we both played solo. Dave played bongos to all the poetry readers, then Killing Caesar played. Lastly, the D-man and I rocked out on Djembe and bongos. It was a good time. Possibly another one in December at NAHS to raise toys for needy families. And also, another coffee house at the church in January, expect me and James to be there.
Hopefully we will actually get off our arses and get some music going for you kind folks to listen to soon. Hope everyone got fat today.

Yours,
Andy

Subject:New songs and studio time, oh my.
Time:8:21 pm.
Mood: thirsty.
Music:The Great Divorce - The Beatutiful Mistake.
Ya, about that. I, James Rutter, have decided to get off my lazy ass and update this thing. Seeing as cerrone does no good updating it. This is the rundown; I've been working my ass off on three new songs, disregarding the four songs i wrote and was planning on using, on the account of the new songs kicking some ass. The Goal (which i know wont happen, because we're all lazy shits) is to practice these three new songs for like...give or take 2-3 months, and pull a demo out of our asses somewhere around January/February. Now if that happens (which it won't) my shit will turn green and smell like rainbow sherbet(sorry, i watched super troopers the other night). Well, there you have it like a bad habit. Thats our goal, if any other band members disagree, we will settle this over a game of Rocks , paper ,scissors, and sucker punch to the throat. I leave you with this: <('.'<)

Post Script: I stole way to many quotes in that, lol.

Subject:Show
Time:6:39 pm.
Mood: bouncy.
Music:Wynton Marsalis- Angel Eyes.
Ok, so, show October 27th I believe. Well sorta, me and james are doing a plug (which means we are playing like.. 2 songs acoustic) at Jaques (Jacues?) in Attleboro across from the train station. I have no idea if it costs any money. There's a show at the dropzone that I wanna run to see after we play, you should all check that out. November 5th though, is a big day. James and myself (andy) Will be playing at Jaques again for 1-2 HOURS all acoustic, come and show some support! The more people, the better. We got tons of stuff to show, and soon enough we will be rocking out electric soon, it's only a matter of time. Expect an interview article soon possibly, and we are in the studio come late November! Still have no news on the new website, but I expect it to be done before christmas, which should work out good. That's everything I believe, come out and visit on the 5th, and have a good old time.

Subject:We want all of your friends!
Time:6:50 pm.
Mood: artistic.
Music:The Ziggens.
We want more friends. So don't be shy, add us!

I (Andy, ya know, the only one who uses this because the rest of you are slackers!) got a sweet backup amp yesterday, for $50. Dean Markley Combo amp, 80 watts, all tube. Sounds awesome. I'm contemplating putting up everyones equipment, because I got nothing better to do. We'll see by the end of this little blurb. Friday- possibly the first time you can hear some of the new Gabriel stuff! James and myself may be playing acoustic at Jaec's, we'll see whats going on with that. If we do, you don't wanna miss it! Also, October 23 James and I will be playing a couple acoustic songs (probably Our Dying Flame and another) at a coffee house in North Attleboro, some church, I forgot the name. Killing Caesar will have a couple of acoustic songs also, and me and Kait may play 1 song, possibly 2. So that's going to be cool, come out and support all the artists performing. I haven't heard or seen anything from the new site, so hold tight, and when I have an update I'll put it up. Acoustic song is still getting tweaked for putting up on PV, can't wait to get that up. Our buddy Larry will be having up at his studio in just about a month, I can't wait to get that going, I'm excited to have some music up online, and to start playing shows again. The wait has been brutal, but it will be worth it, I promise you. See you all hopefully Friday.

P.S. Congrats to Elliott for getting his license! Now I don't have to drive everywhere. :)

Music:Christians + Lions- We Fall and Get Up x3.
Well, since I couldn't wait any longer to put music up, I put up a Dave just jamming on the drums. Check it out, it's pretty sweet if I do say so myself. http://www.purevolume.com/gabriel That's about everything for now, we ARE going to record at least 2 songs in November, so those will be out before Christmas, hopefully. We are starting to really get our stuff together, and the singer will be exposed soon!

Subject:You guys need to take me away from this..
Time:10:37 pm.
Mood: complacent.
Music:Beulah- A good man is easy to kill.
Okay, so now it's official.. I'm the only one who uses this now. ANYWAYS, I think we might have an acoustic (more like guitar/synth) song up, it's being done. We are recording it and mixing it without the aid of our unfinished studio, so bear with us. We just need some music up! So that should be up soon, and hopefully we will have some pictures, or at least updates about our website. we will soon have gabrielrock.net, so be on the lookout for that.

So ya, school sucks emmensely. I want to just like, jam every day. Speaking of jamming, today James, Kait, Dave, and I went up to the studio and did a little jamming, with kait on keys and me on bass. It was sweet. Since it seems like we are getting asked a lot what we all play, I'll post it all here. Kind of like mini bios, so it looks like we use this thing for something useful.

James Rutter: Guitar
Andy Cerrone: Guitar, Synths, Keys, Possibly assorted percussion?
Elliott Sinclair: Bass
Dave Davignon: Drums, Percussion

That's all for now. Goodbye folks, see you soon.
-Andy

Remember, keep checking on our purevolume site for music.

Subject:As our summer slowly dwindles away..
Time:1:23 am.
Mood: cheerful.
Music:The Receiving End of Sirens Demo Ep.
Well, as the summer is ending, things with the band are picking up. We are going to be practicing a lot more often, now that the hectic summer is almost over with. With that said, the search for a singer/3rd guitarist is still on. All of us are excited to start getting everything in order, and the sooner that is done, the sooner we will have some songs recorded. Also, I think I may start actually working on the website, or at least looking for someone who would do it for free. Either one. The studio has been treating us good, and we have definately all made it our second homes. I don't think too many people read this, but if you do, add us to your friends list, it'd be a huge help to have some support while we are still getting things underway. Last order of business. James and I are on the search for a nice guitar head (preferably a Hughes and Kettner, Mesa Boogie, or Orange) and two nice cabinets (Marshall, Mesa Boogie, Hughes and Kettner, or Orange). If anyone is selling either, please e-mail either of us, or leave a response on here. I believe that covers everything, cheers.

Time:1:21 pm.
Mood: contemplative.
Music:The Mars Volta- Drunkship of Lanterns.
Well, since we haven't updated in a while, I figured I would post a little something. We haven't been practicing much, but we should start getting things going soon, with the studio almost done (or at least for the time being) and all of our stuff up there, along with having licenses. The position for 3rd guitar/vocals is still open, and when we have settled upon someone we will be certain to update with their name. That's really about it, so I'm going to go.

If you were on the Waiting In Vain mailing list you don't need to sign up again. Tonight is the Treos + Cadence show in Norwood. Go and show your support. Monday we are heading back up to the studio, and we are going to get some serious work done, hopefully. That's about everything, so long.

Subject:and then there was music...
Time:3:01 pm.
Mood: ecstatic.
Music: Westbound Departure - Leaving Transition.

Soo yesterday, me dave and andy piled our gear into Dave's mom's (Wendy) car, and headed to black stone to see the place where out studio will be. When we got there it was a sweet area, open fields, not many people around. We check out the building, and its a wreck, lol. This was going to take a lot of effort to clean up. So After 4-5 hours of cleaning. We sat back in amazement. It was finally starting to look like a Studio. I have some pictures of what the place looked like before and after. Yet, there is still many hours ahead to making this place a studio. While we were cleaning up we found a bunch of old equipment in there, a record player, amplifier, tape deck recorder, records. We also found 40$ in change, soo now we have a Studio Fund thing going on....oh yes. Soo that went good, and will have like 3 places to jamn and record our stuff, which makes things soo much easier. Thats all I have to say, no real band news...but I couldnt help myself.

-James

Any Donations to the Studio? Talk to Me/Dave/Andy

Mood: anxious.
Music:American Football.
Soo its been raining for like 3 days strait, and today was awesome. Soo me and and elliott and dave jamned for like 2 hours. We didnt get much acomlished , but its still fun to jamn. I want to get together real soon, and hopefully get a song down or 2, cause I have a bunch. Oh and the Band Issue, its been pretty much settled.
The Crew = James, Andy, Elliott, Dave, and Dallas. What they play is beyond me. :) Yea, well its takes a lot starting out a band...A lot of work, and patience. Soo, I just want to practice and practice and more practice. And just getting a nice set over the next couple of months and get that tight. Because tight music is good music. To make things better, me dave kait clavett andy are starting a studio! well I mean, more people are inovled but me and dave thought about it one day, and other people will help out (Elliott, Cara). Yea its going to be a hell of a time. We have this building in Blackstone, MA. Just waiting for us to turn into a studio...all for us! Yea, I cant wait...It will be the perfect place to jamn and chill. We want to record other bands besides our bands, so my AIM is JRutter54, and if your looking to record let me know.(Stale Muffin Records...I think so)Soo its good to have this project , because this is my first band, which i get to use my material , which makes me nervous/anxious. Who knows, I hope you guys will enjoy us. Its just sooo frigin fun makin music, as I found out today at Daves. Soo this is my first entry, its almost like Making the Band: Part 1. oh yea. It should be a fun experience.

Got any studios names? -Suggestions are welcomed.
www.purevolume.com/gabriel Andy made it already soo no one took the name.
